Go Kart

Overview

The go kart that I built was inspired by a top fuel dragster. While they are around 24 feet long, mine was around 14. This dragster was powered by a large 3000 watt electric motor. To power such a large motor, I used multiple drill batteries, strung together in series to create a larger storage. The frame was built out of ¾” plywood with 2×4 bracing. Due to the long chassis length, it was very difficult to create a manual steering rod. This prompted me to create an electric steering system with a linear actuator and limit switches. This project has been deconstructed due to space constraints.
