Hi, I'm Parker

I have always been curious about the world around me and how things work. Anything with electronics, a motor, or a mechanism is fair game.

Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated with tools and engineering. From electric trains and Halloween haunted houses to go-karts and a full-scale roller coaster, my ambitions are limited only by space constraints.

In middle school, I competed in the Illinois Junior Science Fair and won the Top Board Award and the Concept Schools Award at Regionals. I also won gold at the State level.

Currently, I am a Senior at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, Illinois. I enjoy all my classes, especially AP Physics C and Engineering 101. I am on the sailing team, the architecture club, and the head of the theater set design and construction team. Giving back to the community is very important to me, so I became a peer tutor and a student ambassador.

My early engineering ideas and inspirations were guided by mentors at BitSpace, a makerspace for young, creative minds. Currently, I am a member at MHub Chicago, the leading makerlab in Chicagoland. I have spent years learning the fundamentals of design and fabrication, 3D printing, CNC machines, AutoCAD, woodshop, coding arduinos and operating laser cutters, among a multitude of other skills.

Every day, I look forward to furthering my knowledge and building new things, especially DIY roller coasters and things that can shoot fire!
