Haunted House Drop Wall

Overview

This drop wall was my first major project. For the 2017 haunted house, I knew I needed a feature item. This was to be the drop wall. The wall was a single sheet of plywood, standing eight feet tall and four feet wide. 2×4 braces were then positioned on the back to provide support. A “window” frame was cut out and a track was installed on the sides of this frame on the back. A “picture” was then slid into this track and held in place with a stopper. When the stopper was pulled, the picture would fall out of the frame and a live actor would be able to reach out to scare guests. This project has been deconstructed due to space constraints.
