Overview
With the opening of the new performing arts center at my high school, I was very excited to be apart of the scene shop. This fall, we put on our production of Mamma Mia, which I was able to partake in. I was tasked with designing and constructing the set, along with my amazing crew and technical directors, who all together were able to produce an amazing set. The set consists of two villas siting on either side of the stage, with a raised porch in between. All parts of the set were constructed out of 1×4’s and plywood. Everything was designed and built custom, and assembled on stage a week prior to the performance. I was also in charge of the decorations and foliage around the set, and was very pleased with how the final product turned out.
